Explore Hobart Institute of Welding Technology – In Person or Online

Hobart Institute of Welding is now offering both virtual and on-campus tours. Both offerings will include a presentation about the programs, financial aid to those who qualify, registration, and more.

The virtual option will include a video walk around the campus, grinding rooms, and a look inside welding booths. The on-campus tour will include the main building and the tech center.

Preparing for Your Tour

All tours are conducted in groups and will start promptly at your scheduled time, so please plan to arrive a few minutes early.

To ensure a safe in-person visit, all guests are required to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Safety glasses are also required and will be provided on-site if you don’t have your own. Financial aid personnel will be on hand throughout the tour to answer any questions you may have about funding your education.

What to Expect on Your Tour

Get an inside look at everything Hobart Institute of Welding Technology has to offer. A typical tour lasts 1-2 hours and includes:

  • Review of courses and programs
  • Meet the instructors who teach them
  • Guided tour of our 12+ acre campus, including:
    • 350 weld stations
    • 21 air-conditioned classrooms
    • Base metal processing area
    • Next Generation Welder Learning Facility featuring state-of-the-art quality testing labs, classrooms, and a hands-on welding lab

Know Before You Go

  • Proper attire for the tour is long pants and closed-toe shoes.
  • Safety glasses are required to be worn during the tour and will be provided if you do not have your own.
  • Financial aid personnel will be available for questions.
