Upon completion of the course, the student should have the ability to fit and weld piping, making the student much more competitive in the job market.
Course objective: To provide fundamentals for layout and fabrication of typical pipe connections and to use mathematics, basic equations and charts for properly fabricating and welding these connections.
Course content: This course provides the student with a basic understanding of welded connections, angular offsets, rolling offsets, fabrication connections, and methods adopted from various pipe fitting handbooks on piping blueprints.
Testing: To pass this course, the student is required to take five written tests and must demonstrate their ability to properly layout and assemble a piping system from a print.
