A NEW FACE AT HOBART INSTITUTE: JANET PIECHOCKI
Troy, OH --
Janet
Piechocki joined the Hobart Institute team in August
as Admissions Representative.
Janet is offering guided tours to prospective
students and school groups.
She is also available to speak about welding
careers and opportunities to students in vocational
and high school classes in Ohio, West Virginia,
Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
Janet has previously
taken courses at Hobart Institute and brings with
her a broad skill set and over 13 years experience
in the welding industry which will benefit incoming
students.
She is currently completing her associate
degree in welding technology and technical writing
at Edison Community College.
“I am looking
forward to working with welding instructors in
promoting welding education and increasing the
enrollment at Hobart Institute,” says Janet.
“I will also be assisting students to locate
welding positions in the workplace as they complete
their training at Hobart Institute.”

continuing our tradition of excellence,” says Andre
Odermatt, President.
Aside from work,
Janet enjoys working with computers, writing, and
facilitating evening psychology sessions a few times
a year at Edison Community College.
She has a 25-year-old son and resides in
Urbana, Ohio.

CHANGING PLACES AT HOBART INSTITUTE: BOB FISHER
With safety of students as a top priority at Hobart Institute, Bob Fisher
has been named Campus Security Officer and will work
to enforce policies and maintain security of the
facility.
Along with these duties, Bob will also teach certain skill courses and
will travel to Edison Welding Institute to maintain
skill training in conjunction with The Ohio State
University engineering program.
“The diversity that Bob brings to the Institute is
very helpful to students who are considering a
welding career beginning with training at Hobart
Institute,” says Ron Scott, Vice President.
Bob joined the
Hobart Institute staff in January 2002 as an
instructor and moved into the position of Admissions
Representative in 2006.
Prior to that, he was with
Hobart Brothers Company for 23 years,
working in the quality assurance department as
quality coordinator, in the research and development
department as a welding technician, and in the
equipment division as a welder.
A graduate of Bradford High School, Bob attended the
Upper Valley Joint Vocational School and was a
district
SkillsUSA VICA winner in
welding. He is qualified to teach all of the welding
processes at Hobart Institute.
Bob and Robin, his wife, have two sons and a
daughter and reside in
Miami County, Ohio.
