Hobart
Institute of Welding Technology Releases
2006 Technical
Course Schedule
Troy, Ohio – June 21, 2005 – The schedule of
technical courses for 2006 has been released by the
Hobart Institute. For those seeking American Welding
Society Welding Inspector Certification (AWS-CWI),
the two-week course to prepare you for the
examination will be offered seven times throughout
2006. The Hobart Institute is also an AWS CWI
Examination site and this exam is offered on the
final day of the two-week training session. The
variety of dates provides the opportunity to meet
most schedules. Those requiring recertification
under the AWS guidelines may attend a one-week
Preparation for Recertification of CWI.
As they prepare to become welding inspectors,
students are encouraged to enroll in one or more
classes related to quality control. These include
the three-day Visual Inspection course, a
five-day Arc Welding Inspection and Quality
Control course, and the five-day Liquid
Penetrant and Magnetic Particle Inspection
course.
Industrial and educational welding instructors look
forward to the annual Welding Instructor
course that will be held July 10 through 14, 2006.
Teachers of welding find this refresher useful, both
from the education that is provided and the
networking that occurs among the attendees.
Managers of welding operations, welding magazine
editors, and others are invited to attend the
Welding for the Nonwelder course that will be
offered four times throughout 2006.
