Merrill
Fabricators is actively looking for welders and invites former Hobart
Institute
graduates to come see what they have to offer in their custom
fabrication shop
located in Saginaw,
Michigan.
According
to Doug Longenecker, Welding Engineer/Product Manager,
“Merrill is interested
in Hobart
grads
because, as a former graduate, I realize the strength of the HIWT
training
program and Merrill needs those highly-skilled welders in our
organization. We do
all types of arc
welding in our shop including flux cored, gas tungsten, gas metal,
shielded
metal, and submerged arc welding.
We
offer competitive wages and a full benefit package.”
Merrill
Fabricators has undergone rapid growth in the last few months. Since January of 2006
Merrill Fab has grown
from 30,000 square feet to 59,000 square feet.
This expansion will continue to grow to
76,000 square feet by June of
2008. The equipment
and capabilities
have expanded as well through out this expansion.
Merrill Fabricators is currently in the
process of acquiring the ASME “U” stamp to allow
them to do code work and
expand their market share.
This
one-stop shop for the customer has the capabilities to not only
fabricate but
machine as well. Merrill
Fabricators is
unique in that they service so many different industries to include the
energy
sector, automotive, machine base, military and robotics industries. They currently have 65
employees in this
diversified setting and would like to expand to 100 by the end of 2006.
