The Hobart Institute welcomes
military veterans
The transition between military life and a civilian career can
be challenging. Additional training to obtain or enhance
welding skills can ease relocation into the workforce by
providing the edge you need to land a good job vs. a low-skilled
position. You will quickly see a return on the money you invest
in your education.
The U.S. Department of Labor
reports that there is a shortage of skilled welders that is
expected to increase over the next 20 years. Today in the
U.S.A., the average age for skilled welders is the mid-50’s.
This segment of the workforce will be retiring and the existing
challenge is to attract new workers to fill the need in the
industry.
The Hobart Institute has been
approved by the
Ohio
State Approving Agency for Veterans Benefits since 1952.
(the G.I. Bill for
educational training for non-disabled or vocational
rehabilitation for disabled veterans). This gives those
interested in a career an advantage by helping to finance the
cost of a welding education.
At Hobart Institute, the G.I. Bill may be applied to the 21-week
Structural Welding Program, the 36-week
Combination Structural and Pipe Welding Program, or to
the 2-week technical course,
Preparation for the AWS CWI/CWE Welding Inspector/Educator
Examination.
