LASERS AND ROBOTICS
ENHANCE OPPORTUNITIES
LASERS
The Hobart Institute is featuring two new seminar opportunities
for 2005. On February 15, the Hobart Institute will be the
site of a seven-hour seminar that discusses carbon
dioxide and Nd:YAG lasers, along with the new disk and fiber
lasers. Experts from EWI in Columbus, Ohio will provide
the day-long session and will include explanations on light and
lasing, basic laser components and types, transfer of energy,
optics, quality control, laser welding, joint design, welding
metallurgy and laser safety.
This is your opportunity to become more
proficient in the terminology, equipment and issues that
influence laser processing.
ROBOTICS
For the first time on April 12, 2005, the Hobart Institute is
hosting a one-day event detailing the criteria and guidelines
for selecting applications for automation and robotics to
include robot system selection, application considerations, and
process selection, as well as return on investment (ROI) and
economic justification for the purchase and implementation of
robotics.
Drawing on the expertise of an EWI
instructor, this event in Troy, Ohio, will discuss the reasons
for and objectives of automation, types of welding automation
and options, key elements of the robot system, positioning
equipment and accessories, system and vendor selection,
welding processes, and methods of justification.
Space for the
above seminars is limited and you
are encouraged to register early!
Cost for each seminar is $1050.
