EBAY SALES BENEFIT METAL INDUSTRY
SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Rockford, IL --
The Fabricators and Manufacturers Association Foundation (FMA
Foundation) announced today that companies selling materials
or equipment on the popular auction site eBay may now designate
a percentage of all the proceeds from an eBay auction directly
to the FMA Foundation’s scholarship fund.
The FMA Foundation is a 501 ( c ) 3 educational foundation
started in 1997 as an educational, research, and charitable
organization serving the metal forming and metal fabricating
industry. The Foundation awards scholarships to encourage
college and trade school bound students to choose a career in
manufacturing.
The program by eBay called Giving Works can be found
through
http://www.eBay.com. The program requires sellers to
register with eBay’s charitable arm at
http://www.missionfish.com. Once registered, companies may
designate a percentage or the entire sale proceeds to the FMA
Foundation. The designation then appears when the company lists
the item on eBay.
