In Memoriam: Sean P.
Saur
SEAN P. SAUR
Monday, February 6, 2006 -
Sean P. Saur, 28, of Rockford, Ill., died Wednesday, Jan. 25,
2006, at home.
Born June 22, 1977, in Sycamore, he was the son of Richard and
Mary (Rood) Saur.
Sean was a welder by trade and an October 2003 graduate of the
Hobart Institute of Welding Technology. He loved to listen to
music, relax by writing verses and poems, and play with his dog,
Mischief. His friends all said he had a heart of gold, and he
will be sadly missed. Sean was very motivated to become a
stronger person - he quit smoking, along with other things.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Saur of Genoa; his father and
stepmother, Richard and Bobbie Saur of Rochelle; a sister, Lyn
An Saur of Sycamore; two stepsisters, Crystal Baldwin of
Rochelle and Jeannette (Jimmy) Sowell of Mississippi; his
maternal grandparents, David and Barbara Rood of Kingston; three
uncles, Bob (Ann) Rood, Vinny (Talat) Saur and Joe Saur; two
aunts, Beth (Bob) Fowler and Becky (Don) Scheunemen; two
nephews, Gaven and Jonathan; and two nieces, Dessy and Zoey.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; an aunt,
Gayle Rood Lee; and an uncle, Gary Rood.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 12, at First Baptist Church, 530 W. State St. in
Sycamore. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his
family in care of Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St.,
P.O. Box 8, Genoa, IL 60135.
