Tool and
Die Welding Designed to Meet Manufacturing Needs
Questions
often arise concerning the welding of tool steel and the
importance of proper welding sequence and procedures.
In response to those concerns, the Hobart Institute works
with corporate customers and manufacturers by tailoring training
to meet specific needs.
The Tool
and Die Welding Course may be customized and will cover
major areas including:
- Surface
preparation of the weld
- Pretreatment
of the metal including preheating temperatures
- Weld
bead sequencing
- Techniques
and recommended tools for measuring heat input
- Cooling
rate quenching or indirect cooling
- Post
heating or tempering the weld deposit
The
duration of the course is flexible and based on the welder’s
existing knowledge and skill.
Hobart Institute can make an assessment, identify your
training needs and make a recommendation as to how many days of
training an individual may need to become a better tool and die
welder. The course can take place either in your facility or at
our institute.
HIWT
offers a range of welding skill and technical training courses
as well as specialized training and certification and
qualification services. For further information, contact:
