Derrick Philips, a graduate welding / metal fabrication student from Assabet Valley Vocational High School in Marlborough, Massachusetts, is a welder and has now been promoted to supervisor in a manufacturing welding shop.

Derrick is seen here holding a large forged / welded dragon that he created using scrap parts.  Derrick works on this dragon each day on his coffee break and after working hours.  It is quite clear that Derrick is a skilled and talented welder and metal artist.  Previously, Derrick made another dragon, but not to this scale.
