The American Welding Society
has selected a new fulfillment partner, Miami-based World
Engineering Xchange, Ltd. (WEX), for the sale and distribution
of AWS standards and other publications.
Beginning on January 1, 2006, WEX
will accept orders for AWS documents at 888-WELDING
(888-935-3464) toll-free in the U.S. and Canada, at 305-824-1177
for callers elsewhere in the world, via fax at 305-826-6195, and
online at
www.aws.org/standards . A catalog listing all AWS
documents is available for download from the AWS Web site,
www.aws.org/catalogs .
Principals of WEX are:
-- Bob Wing, former chief executive
officer of IHS Engineering Division. He has over 27 years of
experience in U.S. marketing and sales, and in international
sales.
-- Berle Larned, former managing
director for the Engineering Sciences Data Unit. He has 38
years of information-industry experience in senior management,
marketing, product development, and operations.
-- Ana Arias, a 19-year veteran in
publishing, corporate, and non-profit industries. Her expertise
encompasses U.S. and international sales and vendor-channel
management, market research, e-books and digital-content
services, product development, publisher development, and
contract negotiation.
