SOUTH
PLAINFIELD, NJ; In field tests and application studies,
Tempilstik® temperature indicators are rated over high-tech
electronic IR (infrared) devices for measuring actual preheat
and interpass temperatures in welding procedures. In these
tests with electronic IR guns and hand-held temperature
indicator sticks, preset guns and adjustable guns were
inaccurate. The Tempilstik® hands-on indicators came out best.
The tests determined which commonly used method of temperature
testing achieves the most accurate results in a range of welding
preheat temperatures.
Tempilstik®
direct-contact temperature indicators have been the
metal-fabrication industry standard for monitoring welding
temperatures for more than fifty years.
