LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
I am
seeking pen pals who are interested in welding. I am an electric arc welding apprentice at Obeng Metals and
Construction Limited in Kumasi, Ghana.
I am also a part-time student at Kumasi Technical
Institute, working toward a welding degree and a successful
welding career. If
you are interested in an exchange of ideas, please write to me.
Thank you.

My
name is Frank Ramsdell and I had the pleasure of attending
Hobart's 2 week GTA008 welding class back in June of last year.
Being self-taught and having very little technical background, I
was not sure what to expect or how I would do. Thanks to
my instructor, I did very well. He instilled enough
confidence in me to test for certification in aluminum (AWS
D17.1). Because of my instructor's guidance and patience,
I passed and was able to bring back to my employer a very
valuable asset for my company and myself. Thanks again.

I
find your publication very informative and interesting
concerning both the industry and the field of welding. I
hope to be able to visit your institution some day. Thank
you.

I
have enjoyed reading your welding books. I would love to
join your weld school because I want to become a skilled and
responsible welder. This is my last year in high school.
Throughout my three years taking welding in school, I have
picked one welding school to go to and that is yours.
