AWS MEMBERS RECOGNIZED FOR WELDING
ACHIEVEMENTS

The American
Welding Society (AWS) has chosen to recognize ten (10) of
its’ members for their extraordinary accomplishments and
contributions to the field of welding.
The Fellows Committee has elected
Jack Devletian, a professor at Portland
State University, to the 2003 ‘Class of Fellows’.
AWS established ‘Fellow of the Society’, in 1990, to
recognize AWS members for distinguished contributions to the
field of welding science and technology, and for promoting and
sustaining the professional stature of welding.
The Counselors Selection Committee
elected the following members to the 2003 ‘Class of
Counselors’. They are being recognized for their distinguished
organizational leadership, that has enhanced the image and
impact of the welding industry.

William Hobart is a member of the
Board of Directors of the Hobart
Institute of Welding Technology.
The new inductees to both the ‘Class of Fellows’ and
the ‘Class of Counselors’ will be officially inducted at the
AWS Annual Meeting, to be
held on Monday, April 7, 2003, in Detroit at Cobo
