AWS SCHOLARSHIP WINNER ATTENDS HIWT
The selection of
the Hobart Institute to further his welding education came
easily for Steve Ross because, in his words, “It’s the
best!”
To
assist in funding his education, Steve applied for and was
awarded an American Welding Society Foundation Scholarship.
A graduate of Watchung
Hills Regional High School and Somerset County Vo-Tech in
the Warren, New Jersey area, Steve is the son of Greg and Susan
Ross. During high
school, he participated in a co-op program to obtain welding
experience in an industrial setting.
He was also a member of the wrestling team and the
baseball team. His varied interests also include fishing, playing guitar,
and riding his dirt bike.
Steve
will be completing his HIWT training in June 2003.
He plans to work in a custom fabrication shop.
