Hobart Institute works with companies that face the realities of a welder shortage on a daily basis.  Since the inception of the Job Bank on the Hobart Institute web site in 2003, companies have been offered the opportunity to post their welding-related job openings, free of charge.  Over 300 companies are making use of this service. Skilled welders with a positive attitude and the proper training are very well paid, depending on the industry and the geographical region.  Pay-rates for some companies are listed in the Job Bank.   

Recently, the capability for HIWT graduates to search those listings has been enhanced.  Surfers to http://www.welding.org may now sort the listings by welding process, range in wages, and U.S. state, making it more convenient to locate the position that most closely meets the parameters you have established for your job search. 

Welders seeking positions may also post information for employers, outlining their capabilities, job expectations, and section of the country in which they prefer to work.  You are encouraged to use this service to the best of your advantage.
