WILLIAM TRAPP
and ZANE WEAVER EARN HOBART BROTHERS COMPANY SCHOLARSHIPS
Hobart
Brothers Company Scholarships were awarded in May to William
Trapp III and Zane Weaver.
WILLIAM
TRAPP III
“I have
found William to be very hard working in everything he
does,” says Randall Simmering, Welding Instructor. “He is a
talented artist and excels in academics as well as welding.”
“My
grandfather actually sparked my interest in the art of
welding,” says William (Billy). “I watched as he worked on
the farm and did a lot of welding. When Grandad and I were
out together welding, he always made sure I had on a hood.”
Billy is
attending the
Structural Welding Program at Hobart Institute and
will complete his training in November 2007.
“When I
finish my program, I want to get a good job so that I can
help take care of my mother and my brother, who is
autistic,” says Billy, who is hopeful that a welding career
will provide the resources he needs.
ZANE WEAVER
“I have
chosen this career to become a contributing member of
society and to provide financial security for my son and
myself,” says Zane.
“Zane has
been an excellent employee for our company,” says A.
Caramela, owner of Crossroads Painting. “He has always been
dedicated, willing to learn and to move forward.”
The son of
Paula Weaver, Zane will complete his training in January
2008.
