Hobart Institute Receives National
Coverage
Troy, Ohio – July 8, 2005 – Recent events
of the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology were highlighted
in the July issue of Welding Journal , the national
publication of the American Welding Society.
“Hobart Marks 75 Years of Welder
Education,” by Howard M. Woodward highlights the history and
events that have made Hobart Institute a “pioneer” in welding
education. Pictorial coverage includes the restored
Unity of
Man fountain and state and national dignitaries who made
presentations at the commemorating occasion on May 14.
Another primary publication of the
industry, Welding Design & Fabrication, featured the
customized and corporate training provided by Hobart Institute
in “When Welders Need Training”, June 2005. The article
highlights the advantages that companies can gain from
contracting with Hobart Institute for the training of their
employees to increase their welding capabilities. Working
closely with clients, the Hobart Institute can assess workplace
situations to identify and analyze problems and determine
training and certification needs.
At a time when skilled laborers are in
demand and many times difficult to find, it often is financially
beneficial for companies to train from within or to provide
industry-specific training for new hires, ultimately resulting
in a better product and less rework and less waste in time and
materials.
