C&R Partners with Visteon Corporation as the Premium Distributor of Visteon 9” Racing Gear Sets

Indianapolis, IN - C&R Racing, Inc. has announced that it will serve as the official distributor of 9” Racing Gear Sets, manufactured by Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC). C&R will keep inventory of the gears, making them readily available for racing teams on an as needed basis.

“We are technical and R&D partners with Visteon,” said Chris Paulsen, President and Owner of C&R Racing, Inc. “Our well-established relationship with Visteon made it a natural fit to begin stocking the gears in the C&R Racing Performance division.”

The gears offer the ultimate in quality and performance.  The Visteon Global Gear Lab makes what are considered the highest quality nine-inch ring and pinion gears in racing.  The racing gears feature exclusive blended spline-to-stem design that outperforms conventional pinion gears.  The Hex center design of pinion pilot permits use of an internal oil cooling pump.  The CNC machined back angle convex relief on ring gear saves two pounds (on selected ratios and gear sizes).  Drive toe relief on ring gear eliminates potential interference.  The CNC lapped gear sets assure consistent tooth contact and phosphate coating assists with initial break-in period.  The gears are verified one hundred percent tooth contact and metallurgical analysis after heat treatment – certification with each gear set.

C&R's newly-opened Southern distribution facility will distribute the gears. C&R South currently distributes transmissions; including the BB-I, Dynotech driveshafts, Visteon 9” Racing Gears, and other C&R products, excluding custom-built radiators.

C&R’s Indianapolis location will continue to build all cooling components including custom-built radiators, provide machine fabrication services, and distribute performance products.
