HANG YOUR DREAMS ON A STAR

The consistent factor behind becoming a star… whether it is in sports or music, on stage or on the field… is practice, practice, practice.  No one has ever been “born” a star.  There is such a thing as natural ability.  But if that ability isn’t “practiced” or “developed”, it lies stagnant.  The same may be said for becoming a “star” welder.  No one is ever a “perfect” welder, but with practice, practice, and more practice, one can become an excellent welder.

The Hobart Institute of Welding Technology stands out as a “star” among training centers because it provides students the opportunity to practice, practice, practice.  Six hours each day at HIWT is dedicated to supervised actual arc time.  This totals over 1000 hours of actual arc time for the Combination Structural and Pipe Welding Program.   The Structural Welding Program at the Hobart Institute offers over 600 hours of actual arc time.  This is why the HIWT graduates are more skillful and valuable to companies than a student directly from a high school or vocational school.

No matter how experienced the high school or vocational school instructor is, they are limited by the amount of time they have to spend with each student.  The students are in welding classes for just two or three hours and need to divide their time between welding and other general courses.  At HIWT, welding is the only thing the students take and are focusing their entire time on that single subject.  Even students in the two-year and four-year colleges that are enrolled in a major in welding technology must also divide their time among other courses.

The “stars” in welding also have the greatest earning potential.  Welders in the top 10 percent earned over $20.74 per hour in year 2000, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Graduates from the HIWT Combination Structural and Pipe Welding Program are far more likely to have a greater potential to move into the top 10 percent of the indicated pay scale than those without post-high school graduate training.

If you want to become that “star” in your chosen field of welding and work as a hands-on welder, you need to practice, practice, practice.  You need to attend the best school in the nation for that opportunity!  It is your life.  Hang your dreams on a “star” facility with a galaxy of top instructors and become “star” candidate for the top paying jobs in the nation.  Weigh all your options and then choose Hobart Institute!
